Illustration Friday: safari

The word this week for Illustration Friday is safari, so I thought I'd crack open the old family photo album..

Poor Clovis ... boldly going places where other Betancourts have said "Hell, no". It's lucky your family got out of that business or we would not have had these cartoons to enjoy. =)

It must have been an Indian elephant to be able to sneak up quietly on uncle Clovis!

Ted- Possibly, though uncle clovis was hard of hearing from all those years of playing tuba in the John Philip Sousa marching band.

Russ- Yep...and I'm pretty sure the elephant kept the pith helmet as a trophy!

And an elephant never forgets so I'm assuming Clovis' head is mounted on Mr. Elephant's wall and his lower body is a footstool.

Which would be kind of fitting since they used to say that Clovis had less personality than an old sofa.
